random sharp pains

by paanda2, Oct 19, 2008 11:44PM
every once in a while, i have a few sharp stabbing pains in my heart. they last about 2-5 seconds, and are usually on my left side. also, i sometimes have a more long lasting, dull pain just beyond my breast bone, to the right, which sometimes hurts more with physical activity. I am taking atenolol for SVT as well, and because of this, i have a resting heart rate of about 75-85. other than that, i am healthy, perfect weight; just migraines. someone please let me know if they have any idea what this could be! I'm nervous about it!

If you have checked out with your doc, had all the tests and told you are structurally normal in that area, I can tell you that I get intermittant chest/shoulder/breast and rib pains all the time...here and there, of course.  Each one makes me think that "this one might be a heart attack."  Then they go away.  As we get older, we get pains in places that we don't even have organs!  Funny, huh?
