right after my gallbladder surgery i experienced the sensation of "skipped" beats and called my surgeon asap and he told me probably due to stress, medications and to drink alot of fluids.
In general, we do not know what causes PVCs and why they are worse sometimes and not other times.
I think the question was did the gall bladder surgery have an affect or possibly result in the palpitations
Caffeine and chocalate affects some people and not others. If you don't notice a difference, I wouldn't necessarily abstain just because of palpitations.
It is unlikely to be a concern but anytime you have new heart related symptoms, it is worth talking to your doctor. Usually something as simple as 24 hour monitor will help answer the question. The most common causes are premature atrial or ventricular beats.
I hope this helps.
