tachycardia and weird palpitations

I have been experiencing tachycardia for sometime now, very mild at frist usually at about 99-100 at my resting rate, but when I have to use my asthma medication, as i have been lately for my month lonh reccurring bronchitis, I have been reaching levels of up too 128-132 and feeling gittery. I have also been experiencing for a couple of years and more so lately weird palpatations.

Last year a doctor sent me to a cardiologist who said I was overweight and that was my problem, dismissing the fact that I had tried to kill myself a couple of years prior with pills that could have done, at that time, serious damage to my heart. He dismissed me. I guess I would understand someone not wanting to take care of you if you had given up on yourself, but that was before and I was there now asking for help, and left feeling fat and worthless. Good thing I was no longer suicidal. Sorry for the tangent. Anyway, these palpatations run in our family and because of the strain I have put on my heart with the overdose and the asthma meds I am worried and need some advice as to what I should do. I have lost some weight and I eat right, but I am not a slim girl and have PCOS which contribute to my weight problems, I can't handle a doctor who is going to jump on my weight first.

I want to live and the way my heart is acting makes me affraid. Please help me.

The doctor that checks heart irregularities (arrhythmias) is an electrophysiologist - he is a more specialized cardiologist.  So, based on the way you describe your problem I would not even bother with anybody else.  Tachycardia is one of many different rhythm irregularities.  You cannot diagnose yourself, you need a specialized doctor that can do electrical tests on your heart to see what is going on.
