I tested non-reactive for Hep B   at 6 months yet my doctor is concerned of very high protien levels at 8.3%

So my question is if I have a weak immune system is it possible that my body is delaying making anti-bodies

to the virus?

Do I need to re-test in additional 3 months to make it conclusive?   My symptons are following:
yellow on palms on hands and fingers, yellow on feet toes  /Orange dark (sun color urine/ Burning sensation
though out body especially fingers, hands, stomach

Hello thanks for your reply

I have been taking steriod blocks for my neck and had 2 shots within 3 months I am wondering if it is possible that the steriod block delayed my body from making anti-bodies. meaning that I could possible have either hep b or c and my body is taking much longer to develop anti-bodies since the test doesnt specifically look for the virus it self it only looks for the anti-bodies. Have there been cases where people tested positve for hep b or c outside the 6 month window. Many  infectious doctors  disagree with the CDC they say they are just using the a basic window period to keep the public from knowing the truth that people every day do test outside the 6 month window period. However some doctors are quacks everyone has different theories. I just hope the CDC is some what accurate.

I am curious - did your doctor check you out for ANYTHING ELSE?

Cause those are some interesting symptoms... and they could be medication caused or food caused as well.

If you're neg at 6 months - that's pretty darn conclusive.

Much luck to you - consider checking in with a second opinion or assistant doctor...

If you tested HepB negative, it just means you do not have HBV.  It does not mean you are immune.  If you are anti-HBs positive, it means you are immune.

Best.

Do you have anti-HBs positive?  If not you can get vaccinated to strengthen your immune system.
