5 months after PEG interferon

Before 1st injection:

DNA>5x10^7 (upper limit of the device is 5x10^7, so don't know the exact number, perhaps over 10^8)
HBsAg=33000iU,
HBeAg=1000iU
ALT=200

After 8th injection:
DNA>3.3x10^7
HBsAg=9900iU,
ALT=58

After 12th injection:
DNA=4.89x10^6
HBsAg=5900iU,
ALT=57

After 20th injection:
DNA=2.2x10^7
HBsAg No Test
ALT=50

I felt good here after 12 injection since both sAg and DNA is decreasing rapidly but now 5 months DNA relapsed, shall I continue PEG?

The reduction in HbsAg titre is very good. why didn't you test HbsAg at 20th injection? As per the discussions, discontinuing PEG is decided based on HbsAg, not alone by HBV DNA. There is just 1log increase in HBV DNA, this may be a small flare by HBV, you may have to consider retesting ALT, HBeAg and as Steff &Co suggesting VitD3 is very important.

Also, whats the test method used for HBsAG quantification? Abott?

I don't know what method used for quantification, 20th injuction the HBsAg was tested, but not diluted, so the result is >250iu, meaningless for me. I will go on, for sure, I take vitD3 10000iu every day.

if there is an hbsag decrease =>10% vs baseline you are a responder, this test can be done at 12 or 24 weeks

bith hbvdna and hbsag can go up and down, just consider the trend from baseline to 24 weeks and keep the treatment.if hbvdna doesn t go down instead of stopping peg you may try tenofovir add on to peg

vit d is vital, check both vitd25oh and intact parathormone and post here results
