Anyone know what country is best for test

I want to take a trip out of the US to a country nearby to get a Fibroscan and my HBSAG quantitative test done. Considering I cant find anywhere in the US where I can get these done. Anyone know if Canada or what part of Europe I can go to get these done. I dont want to spend too much money but I will if I have to. I would like to know where I stand with this disease today. Im currently just taking viread for about 3 years now and Im still hbeag+ and still get a bunch of symptoms. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you can ask them ? They have all the latest machines and are doing clinical trials so very legit and I guess very expensive....

Hi cjb

I am seeing that the fibroscan seems to have been approved in the US in April 2013 and I believe I have seen others here say they have done the test.
I have found a web site for Los Angeles CA
http://www.fibroscanlosangeles.com/?gclid=CICTs_zXmL0CFUVgMgodw2oADQ

and Hartford CT
http://www.harthosp.org/portals/1/images/6/pr-fibroscan.pdf
offering the test.

I also saw a mention of the Mayo Clinic having the test.

I found this
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is the first serologic marker, appearing in the serum 6 to 16 weeks following HBV infection. In acute cases, HBsAg usually disappears 1 to 2 months after the onset of symptoms with the appearance of hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs). Anti-HBs also appears as the immune response following hepatitis B vaccination.
At the Mayo Clinic site http://www.mayomedicallaboratories.com/test-catalog/Clinical+and+Interpretive/8254

Has your Doctor ordered these tests for you and not provided information where to have the test done? I believe you would need a referral from your treating physician a doctors order to have these tests done.

Good luck
Lynn
