I would like to ask you what does the following blood test results mean :
             Anti-HBc total = POSITIVE
             Anti-HBe = POSITIVE
             Anti-HBs = POSITIVE (558)

The doctor said that it is nothing to worry about but i thing that this mean i have Hepatitis B.
Is that right?
And this mean that i Could infect someone?
Please help me because i am very confused.
Thank you very much.

no you do not have hep b( any more that is ) you have been exsposed to it but your body cleared it on its own anti HBVsAG just means you have anti bodies in your blood. if it was HVBeAG pos it would mean you have active hep b but you dont so dont worry

I am not a doctor, nor an expert on Hep B.  Others here can give you better information than I, but I can say that this test DOES show that you have tested positive for the Hepatitis B antibodies.  This means that you have been exposed.

As I understand Hepatitis B, of the people who get exposed, approx 75 - 80% clear the virus on their own (meaning they they get over the infection ... no longer have it ... but they will always maintain the antibodies).

I would think that you would need additional testing to determine if you have an active infection, or if you just have antibodies.  (At least that is the way Hep C works!)

Good luck,
