Question about Hepatitis B

Goodmorning!! I really would like your professional opinion regarding a matter that has been bothering me. Two years ago nmy husband was sick for 2 days with diarrhea, fever and his urine had a reddish colour. The third day he had recovered completely. Could this be hepatitis? Its been two years after that incident and he hasnt experienced any other symptom. But yesterday he told me that he has a machine at work which shows the cholesterol and triglycerides and he had 150 triglycerides and low cholesterol. He always has sligtlhy elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. But non LOW cholesterol? He also went to the pharmacy and the results were the same. So i read in the internet that there are studies tha show tha connection between hepatitis B and low cholesterol. So i got so scared again. Is this true? I also want to say that he ate in the evening and also drunk beer. Can these results be accurate? Please any answer would be enormously appreciated.

layla, DON'T rely on symptoms to diagnose any virus.  Ask your husband to get a hepatitis panel which will check for hep a/b/c.  the only way to know is by testing.

Actually this is not just a HepC forum, its also Hep B which is what you posted at the top.

There are simple quick tests any dr can do to see if your husband has HepB. Symptoms can describe many things so best to be tested.

Hi Layla
You are at a HepC forum....and we are not professionals, we are patients being treated for Hep C. There is another forum for Hepb at this site, maybe those being treated for that can help you. Also, if you want a doctors opinion, I believe you have to pay for it...by clicking on the Contact Us thingy. Sorry, I couldn't give you more info. Bye.
