Do I need to get a Hep A Vaccine?

by wakefield27, Jan 29, 2009 09:29AM
I read somewhere that if you have hep b it's recommended that you get the hep a vaccine. Is this true? Has anyone else been told about this?

Is this true?

--No, vaccination is helpful only when you do not have hep B and do not yet have antibodies.

Actually, yes, you should get the Hep A vaccine.  And thanks for the reminder.  I need to get my second dose.

Do you mean Hep A vaccination or Hep B vaccination?

If A zellyf is right because you want to protect your liver as much as possible.

If B then vaccination B shot is not useful if you already have HBV.
