Hello,
I was diagnosed of hepatitis B in August 2017 and did a scan to examine my liver. The result came out that my liver is increased in size (spans 16.4 cm) with a smooth, regular outline and demonstrates increased homogenous parenchymal echotexture with blurring out of the portal vessels . No intra or extra -hepatic ductal dilatation is seen. The conclusion Fatty liver grade 2 with hepatomegaly.
I also did some virology and clinical tests and the doctor ineterpreted the results in September and told me the the viral load for the hepatitis B is very low(438), hence there will be no need to administer any drugs. He told me the only concern he had was the fatty liver and advised on things I should eat and stay out from. He also advise I do a lot of exercise.
The doctor said I will be doing some other tests (Liver function tests, Full blood count, Alpha Fetoprotein, Prothrombin Time, Lipid profile and a fibroscan ) in three months time which will be December 2017.
I noticed recently that I have been feeling a dull pain below my lower right abdomen. The pain comes from inside and sometimes goes to my back. Though the pain is not permanent. It comes and goes. I have googled possible causes of this sort of pain and found out it could be related to fatty liver.
Please I would like to know if any drugs can be used to ease the pain and would need your advice on things to eat. I have stopped taking alcohol a long time and fatty foods. I take lots of fruits and try to exercise. Please I am worried and would like to know how dangerous fatty liver grade 2 is and if there is anything that can be done
