thankyou so much for the info. it really helped me a lot. now i can stop worrying. thanx again. God bless.
hbsab antibody developed by vaccine blocks virus entrance to liver cells and also blocks immune suppression so virus cannot start the infection, this is on most while some with weak immune system will develop mild hepatitis....just to avoid being too worried when you get drunk you develop a mild hepatitis too or this might happen also with antibiotics and many drugs, so it is nothing
thanx for ur reply.. does it mean that i didnt acquire hepa b disease because i had completed my vaccine? im really worried bec. it will surely affect my work. and im planning to go out of my country this year.. thankyou very much
as an adult you'd clear hbv anyway, since you had vaccine you will have no disease but just develop all antibodies
a test of hbsag with abbott architect or siemens hbsag will make sure the virus did not mutate to escape vaccine, this is so rare that can even skip this
test hbsab titer
test hbvdna pcr
test alt/ast
i have been needle pricked by a patient with hepa b. but i have completed 3 shots of vaccine.. will i still be infected with hepa b? what test should i do to confirm?
to see if you are lowering cccdna and seroconverting to hbsab you must check hbsag quantity during treatment for predicting seroconversion (which is 30% at 5 years) not yearly hbvdna only.
actually hbsag is the most important test on interferon but not all docs are aware of this.
hbvdna is not enough to say you have immune control, hbsag below 1550iu/ml or 300S/N with low/und hbvdna means immune control (you can even have immune control with hbvdna at 5log although it is better to have it 3log maximum).
this is also important because if you see you are close to hbsag 0iu/ml you can make longer treatment, it is also important to predict if one has no response in first 3-6months so you stop it and avoid sides
