it has no symptoms at all and also cirrhosis doesn t have any until death or very close to it.hbv is chronic and makes damage at birth, adults clear it with no damage
you are immune to hbv and dont have it since hbsab is detectable, the higher the better.just to double check for occult hbv check hbvdna with sensibility 10iu/ml at least (6iu/ml is better)
i dont think your cirrhosis is due to hbv double check other sources for cirrhosis:
medication drugs, most drugs damage liver especially if taken for long time
diet made of processed foods which have chemicals
being overweight and having fatty liver
how to know if you have fatty liver, ultrasound
how to know your liver damage, fibroscan
you look from US, the worst medical system for hbv (and in general i believe), move to canada to have fibroscan if you dont find one in US, there is no other way to monitor liver damage
heptech medical food reverses early cirrhosis, google for it.
Just to clarify....know you dont have to have used drugs to contact Hep B and that there are many other ways to contact it. Its just that I was surprised since I never even considered I may have Hep B.
Thanks again..Paula
Many people don't experience any symptoms during acute phase of the infection. Hep B can be transmitted in many ways, in Asians it is mostly from mother to baby. Other ways are shared needle or blood transfusion in medical setting. It can also be transmitted sexually.
It is important to determine the cause of your cirrhosis, so that you can be treated accordingly.
