Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is iron should be limited if one has advanced liver damage such as cirrhosis. Otherwise, some iron is ok when one has little or no liver damage. Pregnant women especially need iron, hbv or not. TOO MUCH iron is not good to the liver.

-Avoid "dense carbs" like bagels, white-bread, and baked goods. Instead eat whole bread and cereal for carbs.
-Avoid sweet drinks, sarsaparilla, nut meg, licorice, kombucha
-Avoid red meat. Instead eat chicken, turkey, seafood, and beans.
-Avoid raw oysters, which may contain a bacteria especially harmful to the liver.
-Drink coffee and green tea. Antioxidants help against cirrhosis.
-Eat artichokes, fruits, vegetables, grain, fiber, milk, fish, nuts, low-salt unprocessed foods
-Don't over eat
-Don't drink or smoke
-Exercise
