Hep B testing question

Hi all,

I am interested in getting a Hep B test.  I don't have a doctor, so I'm looking to get a test soon, and on my own.  There are companies with websites that offer tests where you go to a local lab and have the blood drawn.  One of them uses LabCorp, which I know is reputable.

My question is, has anyone used one of these places?  Where else can I get a test?  How soon can I expect the results?

I used "req a test' a few years back.  Very good to work with.  hep B test result is

available after two or three days.  Give the blood sample on mon, get result on thurs or

fri.

okie dokie. I just googled health dept testing for Std's and even out here in nowhere oklahoma. There was a bunch of stuff about free or low cost referals for testing for hep a and b and also a lot about free or low cost vaccines for hep a and b . Hope this will help you. I could not tell if you are in the USA or not. and I dont know what other countries do.

I have heard that you can get tested at the local health department for your county. I have also heard you can get a hep a and a hep B vacine at your local health dept. can you believe my GI doc and my Family doc dont give hep a and b. vacines. I cant. Ill look into it furthur for us.
