read the community, especially new posts, this is from 2009 and most has changed
hbvdna is one way of having an idea of hbv virus replication, but it is not useful as single test because hbv has a complex repliction cycle.hbsag quant and cccdna are much more reliable test to define infection
my hbsAg test just came back and its non reactive, that means im ok, but do i have to be vaccinated again or just leave it as it is, i know i have immunity but its just low, but i also read that you're immunity decreases with time, but the body already recognizes the virus to have a memory of it. what should i do. tnx again
If your HBsAg is negative -you are ok.
tnx for the answer bram44, i still havent had my hbsAg test, but im planning to, the reason i got an anti-hbs is i got the hep a and b vaccine last 2006, and would like to know if i've developed an immunity,, should i get another one if its not to high (6.52mIU/ml) 10 is the cut off..? or im better off even if its that low. or if had the hbsAg and it turns out negative am i gonna be ok? need some advise, tnx
HBs Ag positive (infected)
Hbs Ab Negative (no antibody - not good)
Hbe Ag negative (less infectivity)
Hbe Ab positive (less infectivity) the same as above
Hbc Ab positive (good but maybe false alarm)
Its in acute stage? if less than six month
Its in chronic stage? if more than six month
It shows vaccination ? if you did vaccination
Means you have very little immunity. What about your HBsAg reading ?
BTW - please post your questions on a different thread.

Why do you say "I am negative for Hep B"?
Please post all your lab results.
i have read many article about interferon treatment for hep b. s this true? i have hep b since 2003. where do i find interferon?
This latest test result does not imply that you are negative for Hep B. It says you are not making any antibodies for HBsAg. You are not immune to Hep B.
I have come across some instances where they did not develop immunity after the vaccinations, and did the entire set of 3, all over again. Seems to have helped.
