Hepatitis B Result Interpretation!!!! plz Help me out..

Recently I have undergone  a pre medial check up where I came to know I have hepatitis B..
I have done Ultrasound scan. where everything was normal..
liver ultrasound---- normal
repeat sgpt and sgot-- normal (4 times in 3 months)
HVB DNA----- result-- 420 IU/ml
HBsAg-- ---positive
HBeAg--- Negative...

Am I contagious...will the virus transmit to my wife...Is it mandatory to get my wife vaccinate?? Plz help me out.

So I will go with HbsAb test for my wife...
It should be positive or negative?? To know whether she is immune or not...

Yes, you can infect your wife, even though your viral load is low.
Just get your wife tested for HBsAb, she may already have immunity against HBV. If not, she should be vaccinated. It is a very effective vaccine and everyone should have it.
