High DNA QT

I'm a 22 year old asian male, my dad is a carrier and began taking hepsera and now baraclude a few years ago when his ALT became abnormal.

I have been getting regular blood tests since I was ~12 and my last test showed abnormal stuff for the first time
ALT 53 (5-52)
AST 19 (10-45)
bunch of other stuff about rbc wbc platelets bili ggt that are borderline but still "normal"

and also
HEP B DNA QT 9,800,000,000 copies/ml 1,800,000,000 IU/ml
which I'm assuming are pretty ridiculously high?  is this a big deal? I just started taking baraclude and will have another test in 3 months

Right and B has earlier seroconversion than C...if he's B I'd consider holding off on treatment maybe. C maybe not.

If you are asian then your genotype is more likely B or C.

Yes I'm taking it under a doctor. I'm trying to dig up my old test results, I've been monitoring this for ~10 years now and its always been a quick phone call from the doctor saying everythings normal until now. I dont know the genotype.

The DNA is very high but also not at all unexpected at your age.  The ALT is elevated but not too bad.    What is it usually? Do you know your genotype?

Are you taking baraclude under a doctor?  If you are HBeAg (+) then your high HepB DNA is expected and the 2007 Guideline may suggest you to monitor only.
