I updated it few days back, even i droped a mail to replicor regarding 3rd phase, i am disppointed with response, below is the response

We appreciate your interest in Replicor and our technology. Our drug is still in development and it is expected that it will still take a few years before it is approved for sale. As you may be aware, there are many clinical studies that need to be completed and reviewed by regulatory agencies before a drug can come on the market. It is currently not possible to buy the drug or ask to participate in our clinical trials which only recruit patients already followed by the investigators running our trials. We are of course doing everything we can to accelerate the approval process.

If you wish to be made aware of future developments, we recommend to follow us on our website by going to this page and leaving your email address to subscribe to our newsletter:

Best regards,

Michel Bazinet.

Thanks for sharing the feedback you  got from Replicor. A few years could mean two, or three years, which is not very long. As long as their promising results in hbsag reduction or even eradication are maintained and without any serious side effects, then there is good possiblity that they would be approved for marketing their nap drugs.

Hello Community, what do you think about the most recent Replicor report? I think the results are phenomenal, yet, almost no one is talking about them, why? Is there something I missed?

Thanks a lot for posting the recent report from Replicor. Wow, I have never been as optimist as now after reading this recent report. I can't believe it, 7/9 patients with total clearance of hbsag, and this accompanied by as much as 2422mIU/ml anti-hbs is simply impressive, thanks again.

The press release is of course very optimistic  and shows the best data.  You should take a look at the actual data as they are available on the website. Overall the effects are truly impressive, but you must not forget that the surface antigen clearance is at this time point artificially maintained by the drug action . What will finally matter is the stability of this state after the end of treatment.
What is very encouraging are the very strong Alt flares at the beginning of nap plus if exposure. They represent a true  activation of a specific t cell response that could in principle hold the remnant infection under control after EOT.

It can be hoped that the remaining month of combo treatment will further strengthen and intensify this response and lead to a higher antibody as an indication of specific immune activation.

The fact that interferon pretreatment has clearly blunted the capacity of naps to induce the very strong flares is not a good sign for interferon. It seems to waste a reserve population of specific Tcells in a fight they cannot win without the concomitant hbsag suppression, leading to their exhaustion and functional loss from a very limited and precious repertoire , that cannot be reestablished if the hbsag suppression by the naps is introduced later.

It seems to me that these patients will be less likely to achieve permanent SVR after EOT.
Thanks for lending your take on the most recent press release from Replicor; it is also pleasing to know that you consider the sesults impressing. Let's hope the results continue in the same vein and that the patients maintain a sustained svr. Are you of the opinion that it was better if they dropped the interferon prior to treatment with naps?
There is little question now that interferon pretreatment before naps would be a big mistake. Replicor used this as a control group to show that the good results of their naps/interferon combo group were caused by naps, not interferon, to silence their critics.
