I'm really confused and concerned

Hi

My gf was recently diagnosed with hep b. Her counts are extremely high like 170000000. Her liver function tests are all okay an she has already seen a doc and she is about to start medications. I do not know if it is a chronic or acute type. Also she had been vaccinated against hep b 4-5 years back.

Furthermore, I also went ahead and got my self tested for hep b and hep c and my results are as follows

Hep b sag is non reactive
Hbs antibody > 1000 ( I got 5 Shots infact)
Hep c core ab total is negative

RPR is non reactive.

Additionally we always used condoms during sex with the exception of oral sex. There was no blood however during the saliva.

I am worried if I might have transmitted it to her.
Also I am worried about her health . What is the roadmap in the treatment for her. My doc told me that since I am immune I should be okay to live with her

Please advice me on this

Thank you

She is in India. I will ask her to evaluate her Vitamin D level.I will as her to drink fresh juices. Also I will search for pointers on eating healty when on Acute Hep B. I will post her development on this. Also I will let you know the names of the medicines the doc has prescribed for her.

Thank You "stefano170669". You are such a blessing for us. :)

Thank You

this is not possible, if hbcab igm is positive there is no need of drugs at all, which country are you?

She takes multivitamins every
Day
this is useless and makes damage, chemical vitamins are useless and must be used if there is a deficency

Is avoiding meat and drink
thisis good

drinks juices (read tropicana)
this is very bad, she must take only fresh fruit and fresh food

anyway the chance of cronic is about 3%, almost nothing

Thank you so much. The doctors have told her that she
Has chronic hep b and have prescribed her
A lot of expensive medicines. They have also ordered
HBeAG and anti HBe tests for her. She takes multivitamins every
Day and drinks juices (read tropicana) and she
Is avoiding meat and drinks. I would also ask her
To get her bit d checked

I have told her to take rest and not to worry.
We both maintain a long distance relationship
So it becomes a little difficult for both of us.
I am praying that she will come out all well.

Thank You

very good so she has acute, she just need to rest, healthy food and helathy life style and make sure immune system is working properly

you might check vitamin d level if higher than 30ng/ml it is ok, lower deficent, it is an immune modulator and if in a sunny country you just need to take a little sun (20min a day) if too low.

it has show higher response on therapies, as regards drugs for hbv they ar all not good now because might interfere with immune system

Hep B core ab total is negative
is this IgM or IgG?if IgM she is cronic and infected long time, in this case if hbvdna is millions and alt normal/almost normal she doesn t have to worry she is immune tollerant and perfectly healthy

be sure you have one of the best liver specialists in your area, some doctors cannot even understand hbv phases and treating under immune tollerant phase is just dangerous and useless

dont worry too much hbv is dangerous only at birth or young babies, adults clear 98% times, just have her avoid alcool and live healthy for now

Her counts are extremely high like 170000000, this is hbvdna i guess, normal value in acute or immune tollerants.

did you check hbcab igm to be sure it is acute hbv?
clearance can take 6-12 months, just check with good liver doctor and do not take any drug if she is acute, drugs are needed only for liver damage which takes decades they are mostly useless for hbv and not needed earlier than a year
