Is it still possible??

I had a protected sexual encounter  about 8 months ago.  I did perform oral sex on her unprotected.  I have tested for all std's at 3 months and 6 months, all negative except hsv 2.  I also was dx'd with ebv (mono) and a few warts.  I have had swollen glands in throat, itching all over body, tingling hands and feet, nausea, thrush (that has lasted 6 months), loose stools, and lower back pain periodically, and two cases of the shingles since exposure.
I have never been vaccinated and all test show negative across the board up to six months.  I am confused to what I have been exposed to.  My dr doesn't seemed worried about anything, but I still don't feel normal.  I constantly have mouth sores, and genital pain on and off with no explanation, my stool color changes from normal to light to orange colors.  Can I still turn up positive for Hepatitis?  Is it possible that my body has been bogged down with fighting ebv and hasn't produced antibodies?  I want to believe I am out of the woods, but can't shake symptoms.

well i can tell you it isnt hepatitis and will not be as far as i understand you and from what i read.

now EBV and HSV unfortunately sounds more related to your symptoms than hep.

i hope you're not having any unprotected sex with anyone at this time or since 8 months ago.. ask your doctor how contageous you are though i think you are of some kind.

i would also suggest you look up EBV and HSV on this website and go to their respected communities. i am sure they will be a lot more help than we are here on hepB community

i cant give you any suggestion as i wouldnt know any.. really up to your doctor and i would trust him if he has been working with you for the past 8 months. i dont know much about herpes and its different types but i am certain the ebv and hsv community will help you a greater deal

still, please let us know how you're doing

good luck george

He has run liver function test (normal), cbc (normal), sudden spike in blood pressure though (185/90) usually (170/70), urinalysis (normal), syphilis, hiv 1/2/o (all negative), was positive for EBV and HSV2.  I am sure that I have left some things out.  Anyways, after 8 months I would think that the EBV would've subsided and the HSV I am still getting adjusted to.  I can't tell what an outbreak is.  The titers were like 4.98 the last time taken, the first was 3.95.  I wonder what the difference is?  Any suggestions?  I am open to anything at this point!

At this point, according to window periods all hepatitis and HIV worries should've passed.  Could this still have something to do with EBV?  What else should I be looking for?  I am so confused, today I have had dark water for stools twice.  When it straightens out, It is more solid but really flaky.  It has stayed like this for the last six months.  I am getting worn down mentally.  I keep thinking positive, and as soon as things seem to get better, I am right back where I started.

yes it is true..6 months , more one than test, all negative for a,b, c . woulda defintely shown something. for hbv it woulda shown postive for the surface antigen ofcourse

it is either something -hopefully- temporary and will go away, or hmmm something else other than hepatitis altogether.

feel better

All test up to six months for hep a/b/c have shown no sign of infection.  I have not received a vaccine and was told that it would have shown up on the surface antigen by now.  Is this true?

not sure it is hepatitis

could be something else ofocurse since ur not feeling well but i would follow the doctor's advise carefully til you find out what it is you are having a problem with.
as for hepatitis, i would have shown something postive .hbv starts and ends with an adult within the first six months or else they are chronic. if you havent shown anytihng fo hbv and it has been 8 months like you're saying then i dont believe this has anything to do with hbv

good luck and let us know how you're doing
