thank you so much for helping me understand... my hbvdna results will be on the 29th, i hope the result will be ok.
You are still infectious. You need to be monitored twice yearly. Your Hep B can become more active and require treatment at any time. The odds of a long life are in your favor but your increase your odds for success by being diligent with your care. You are at somewhat higher risk for liver cancer and cirrhosis even as an "inactive carrier".
does it mean that i'm still in grieve danger? the results is not that reliable?am i still prone to infect others?
thank you so much for the info.
Thank you so much for the reply!
Bberry is right although I would say that "inactive carrier" is deceptive as it seems to imply that you are infectious but at no risk yourself. Not quite true. Even a DNA count of UND doesn't mean that there isn't active replication. Just low level replication. There is no "inactive" state when you are surface antigen positive.
you do have hepatitis B. you have normal liver function which is good obviously
you are negative to the e antigen and postive to its antobody which says you may be an inactive carrier... still need your DNA to determine inactivity
good luck
