New result

Hbsag quantification result is 15915 IU/ml and am currently on peg interferon av taken  four shots (that is four weeks on treatment ) my HBV DNA is 7998 IU/ml . Fibroscan is 7.8kpa f1/f2 all this test were done a week before I start peg interferon treatment . Am confuse now weather I should stop the peg interferon and switch to tenofovir since my hbsag is high . I want it to get to < 1000iu/ml as soon as possible . My doctor said I should continue the pegylated interferon and wait for test result  at 24 weeks to see my response . Please I need advice on what to do please

@stef2011 I thought you said that peg inter is not good when hsag is more than 1000IU/ml . Do I still have any chance to response to interferon ? Or I should just switch to tenofovir immediately am hbeag negetive considering hbsag quantification value at base line

Yes you have to wait till 24weeks before that hbsag may even increase, test it directly at 24weeks
be sure your vitd25oh is about 100ng ml and intact pth min normal range at the same time or response to peg might be none or weak
