I am not a doctor, and vaccinating baby when mother is hbv+ is a special area, so I will give my opinion., You must consult your own doctors.

A new born baby from hbv+ mother should be given the first dose of a 3 dose Hepatitis B vaccine plus HBIG within 12 hours of birth. The second and third dose should be given and completed at month 6. I then believe the baby should test for HBsAg and HBsAb at between 9-12 months. So only then will you know whether prevention is successful and that the baby has protective level of anti-bodies. The success rate is over 95%, if mother with very high viral load is given treatment at the third trimester.

As you can see, the management is not simple, so consult your doctors and work out the management plan.

If the baby is vaccinated and has protective level of antibodies, the baby is protected from infection by anyone, including you.

At the moment, there is no treatment that will 100% guarantee a cure, however there are many treatment methods that can control the disease, and some may lead to a cure in some patients.
