Friendship invitations and PM to stevenNyer
I don't want to seem rude by refusing, so let me explain.
I am flattered by the invitations and Personal Messages (PM) because it gives me a sense that you are comforted and helped just by visiting the forum, and you value my feedback. In a sense that is my (our regulars') goal of giving back to the community. I explained why I don't like to respond to questions via PM on our HepB Health Page.
I take my involvement with the forum seriously. I take friendship invitations seriously. I decided to accept invitations to those who become regulars, whom I would consider a friend throught multiple forum exchanges of mutual learning and support. So in a sense it's not just to add an icon, but to indicate a real "friend". And it also helps to show who the regulars are by looking at my friends list. And I do hope to see my friend list grow :)

Now I never accepted but neither have i rejected it.
Somehow having a friendship invite from Santa appeals to me.
But as i didnt get what i wanted last Chrissy he can Sod Off.

Although "Phantom" & "V" are cool in their own rights, I'm going with Brad Pitt. Let's face it, I being a heterosexual man, don't mind saying that Brad Pitt is a very handsome man. The same could be said of Tom Cruise, but then he became crazy. So Brad Pitt it is.

OK Steven --- I posted some of my "good" photos... ROFLMAO -- if you count takin' them after digging the car out of the snow and it being WAY past my bedtime before work the good photos.
But I figured I didn't want ya to have an Angelina Dream about me... LOL!
So you get the worst. After I lose 20 lbs - get some plastic surgery and earn a couple of million - then I'll be Angeline... Maybe... minus the lips tho... That's just a bit much for me... *GRIN* Oh and when my hair almost goes back to normal...
I'm out of the "BOZO" stage -- -but into some sort of OMG -- which way is it going to curl stage...

You know when you get that friend invitation, I just take it seriously, maybe too seriously. You are given the choice of "accept" and "ignore". I've been "ignoring" the new members. Then I realize it may not be a nice thing to do, so I just want to explain myself.
So far, I have four friends, and they all know why they are there. From our history, I know more than just their screen names. It's hard to feel personal online / forum based but some I do consider you friends. For example, if I ever find myself in your part of town, I may write to see if you want to grab a drink (carrot juice) ;) I imagine the conversation going something like this:
Me: Hey, I imagine you have longer hair.
Friend: Wow, I wouldn't have guess you look like Brad Pitt behind that camo suit.
Me: Yeah I get that alot.
Friend: How's the liver.
Me: Good. Can't really complain. How's yours?
Friend: Pretty darn good. ALT is looking good in range.
Me: That's wonderful...I told you the carrot juice is good stuff.
Friend: Yes...absolutely.
