Good News ! Replicor is recruting patients with Hepatitis B in Moldavia !

i Received an e-mail from replicor which stated that in Moldavia (Europe) is starting a new trial with Hepatitis B patients (B+D is already in in progress) and they sent me the contact informations to call at that specific clinic .After speaking with them i have this informations :
Everyone with hepatitis B can join the trial despite his nationality .
Exclusion criteria : overweight people, HBeAg positive (I am waiting for confirmation for this one, they said will call me back to be sure ) Also, in the first 6 months you have to visit once per month, but after 6 months, must be there every week .

I asked them if it's worth traveling there ( i'm somehow near, and it would be possible ) and he stated : For what they've seen up until now in patient , at least 50% in people have lost HBsAG and developed AntiHBS ! again, this is what they stated . Now i am waiting for that call to know if i can enter the trial because i was HBEAG positive .

I think this is very promising , knowing exactly from the source of the clinical trials that the outcome is good for at least 50% of patients .

What do you think guys ?

for the moment is only in Moldavia, as well as the trial for hbv+hdv, they choose it because Moldavia is a really small country (only 4 million people) and it's laws make it very easy for them to start the trials

Is the trial for Replicor continuing? Has it started yet?

This study is ongoing, but not recruiting participants. If i've seen right on clinicaltrials.gov it will last for 63 weeks meaning that it will end on 2020 .

if you are on nucs you can t have hbvdna detectable or over 10.000c/ml

in the end it also says excluded those on various drugs and also antivirals, this could mean nucs too but anyway you can t have hbvdna detected on nucs unless you just started

I don't know if you can go without any sign of fibrosis , the clinic manager also told me that somewhere around 50% of patients enter the trial, the other half unfortunately do not qualify, maybe they seek for the perfect patients to have the biggest results ? Idk

if you have a lab to make hbeag quantification that would be useful because if hbeag is very very low you could turn it negative by some peg

no they need hbvdna over 10.000copies/ml whic h is about 1724iu/ml if i remember correct we need to divide by 5.8 to convert...too long time we dont use copes/ml

the study if for 60 patients or so . tomorrow i will go to test myself, last time i was HBEAG positive, so my only hope is if i seroconverted to hbeag negative during this time ...it is indeed a great opportunity .anyone who has the possibility should go and try it, that;s why i shared the info here. The manager of the clinic which whom i spoked to seems very friendly, he even called me again to tell me more info's about this study and that he is waiting for me to reply with my tests. Very nice people in Moldavia

jump on it rightaway

i also asked them but they need hbvdna>10.000c/ml and hbsag>1000iu/ml so also those already on nucs are excluded

so the study its held in Moldavia because in a few month you can start a trial there without problems for the government, the laws are much more friendly then ours .i won't even mention the US laws here .. They also told me that they never use biopsy, only fibroscan + fibromax +( sonogram or ultrasound )i didn;t get that  .
