yes 10.000iu is totally normal, we make 20.000iu in the sun when healthy....
they just found all studies on vit d were ridiculously wrong that it could even happen on purpose only (you bet pharma is already losing billions where vit d and k are being used for osteoporosis...if this use gets widespread all over population some drugs might go failed on the market
i can t find the link about all the wrong studies on dose but it remember it was a base error repeated in all the following studies made on low dose...so it was on purpose

Thank you Stef. That makes sense. I will up my does to 10,000 IU. I guess this means I can still eat yogurt :) I have a friend that is a biochemist that will help me translate medical journals so that I can explain this to my doctor, I have a feeling he might be uncomfortable with this dose but he (my Doc) is pretty open minded. Thanks again, you really inspire me :)
U are not in a rush because of treatment by pegintf, your levels can go normal slowly, start 10.000iu daily and restest by 1-3months
sorry Stef auto correct called you stefan.
Stefan thank you. Can u recommend a dosage. I've been taking 4000ui daily for just over a week. Should I raise to 10000 and one time does of 50000 like others?
GO to private clinic the range is so little, nto good at all
anyway ur intact pth is high at 5, it must get to 1.3 or little more because it means at that level you have vitd in ur tissues and cells, now you dont and it is reflected from vitd25oh low too
Does anyone understand these results or should I send away to a private clinic to retest with a different machine? I think I am missing something here. Not quite sure what the next step is.
Stef2011 I don't take any other supplements as I am not sure how to do it yet. Learning one thing at a time. Any suggestion?
Range is 1.3 - 7. But the hospital said they use 1.6 - 7.2 so a little confused. I just wanted to see what the baseline pth was. Do these numbers make more sense with the range? I don't know where to get the other type of test done in canada.

Strange machine, the unit is pg/ml not pmol/l, also vit d is measured by bad unti and bad machine the unit is ng/ml.difficult to suggest with such machines used for me, i only use good labs with best machines
anyway 47 in nmol l is extremely low and the vitamin d you took made no difference 1 week is not enough to make any difference on such low levels
what is the norm range for that pth machine?
do you also take some vit a, magnesium and k2 mk7?if that pth is low you look messedup with deficiencies
