Can you help me understand why it seems as thought HBV is common? I mean, look at the forum here and there are so many people testing positive.
Meanwhile, according the statistics from the new york department of health, the odds are only 1 in 100,000 are infected with hbv each year.
I don't get it.
Acutally since you tested 30 days, I would wait 2 more months for a final test at 3 months past exposure.
Ok the odds are even better that the girl didn't have Hep B as caucasians have even lower rates.
Its good that you don't have any symptoms and I wouldn't worry.
However, just for peace of mind at 7 weeks I would test for Herpes, HIV, Hep ABC.
Yes, the girl was caucasian.
I tested 30 days after. I tested for bacterial and hiv, all negative. It'll be 7 weeks post exposure this weekend.
No, I haven't had any symptoms.
Also was the girl caucasian?
How long was your test for STDs after possible exposure? Do you have any symptoms?
it's not that common in the United States. Odds are very good that you didn't get involved with a girl with Hep B.
Test your HBsAg and HBsAB.
