Can you guide me Interferon works at this HBSAG levels?
or should i consider Interferon once hbsag comes down to 1000?
you can use it now and later on too when hbsag gets less than 1000iu/ml, i strongly suggest to combo with vit d 10.000iu daily and gcmaf if you can afford it.the most potent gcmaf is from saisei japan
no use tdf for now
US is the worst place to get hbv treatment, india is much better especially ILBS Delhi.it will be hard to find a doctor to cure your hbv and not just manage it
best strategy is to try peginterferon for 24 weeks and if no hbsag response just monitor because your low hbvdna does not require antivirals
Thanks everyone who's answering all question with lots of patience.

Please help me to understand my status and require any more tests to findout exact status and is that curable or not?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
What is relevance between vitd and hbv treatment please answer I am very much confused about to start my treatment
I started using interferon last week.
When i got injected first week, I got fever and joint pains for 2 days.
This week when i took the interferon, I didnt get fever and no joint pains.
Is that expected?
Some one please clarify
Only Hbv DNA test cannot tell anything. Consult with good hepatologist and do the following test
Hbv DNA which already done
Liver function test
Fibroscan
USG of abdoman.
Fibroscan is most important which tell you treatment is necessary or not
Very much thankful to stef and brig.
Can you please comment on this .

Can you tell whats the criticality of im in.
Whats the treatment i should look for now.
I have appointment with Doctor tomorrow at ILBS , What and all I need to discuss with doctor.
Thanks stef.
I will recheck hbvdna and will post the results here.
hbvdna i didnt test this time , 2 Months back when i tested last time , thats 139 IU/mL.
I am planning to take appointment at ILBS Delhi next week.
Treatment i am not decided anything yet, But ready to follow which ever best treatment available as of now in india / USA (If its required i can travel to USA for treatment). But looks ILBS Delhi handling lots of cases now a days in india. Will take opinion from there first.
i just saw your other tests, hbvdna is very low but recheck it to be sure it is still low
i d wait for vitd25oh to get to 100ng/ml and intact pth to go lowest of normal and then think about peginterferon or tdf treatment.vit d needs about 6 months of stable levels at max normal range to have an impact on immune system
your vitd25oh is not optimal, use tsts with ng/ml or ask lab for results in ng/ml unit, you need to reach 90-100ng/ml
With in 1 month, hbsag quantative almost trippled. What this indicates? What are my next steps?
this has very little meaning, in one month there is yet no chance on vit d levels it takes 6months of stable vitd25oh at 90-100ng/ml and at the same time intact pth lowest of normal
keep taking vit d3 at 10.000iu daily and retest vitd25oh and intact pth by 2-3 months from now
what is your hbvdna now?are you thinking of peginterferon treatment or tenofovir?
@stef2011,
Today my reports came for vitd 25oh and hbsag quantitative
HBSAG Quantative @CMIA : 2979.25 IU/ml
Vitamin D 25 Hydrox Serum
147 nmol/L
With in 1 month, hbsag quantitive almost tripled.
What this indicates? What are my next steps?
Is HBV increasing so fast is common, or im totally in very bad situation?
Today my reports came for vitd 25oh and hbsag quantitative
HBSAG Quantative @CMIA : 2979.25 IU/ml
Vitamin D 25 Hydrox Serum
147 nmol/L
With in 1 month, hbsag quantative almost trippled.
What this indicates? What are my next steps?
very lucky hbsag is very low, i suggest you get your vitd25oh to high end of normal before starting pegintf, recheck vitd25oh by 1 month supplementation then as soon as vitd25oh and intact pth are ideal i do for pegintf or pegintf+tdf, also recheck hbsag when vitd25oh is around 100ng/ml and intact pth around minimum of normal maybe it ll go less than 1000iu/ml
not sure you ll clear in one shot but you have highest chances to clear
not it is not good because vitamin d can t be taken weekly, you must get a 10.000iu pill to be used daily
you are extremely deficient, this level is dangerous for general health and not just liver, you better start vitamin d3 10.000iu daily as soon as possible by 6months you may reach optimum levels
check hbsag quant in iu/ml and fibroscan, most important test to define status, if hbsag is low you have highest chances to clear by pegintf.this said pegintf can have very heavy sides but anyway it is possible to try 12-24 weeks and see how it goes
what s your vitd25oh?
