Transmission question

I am a technician at an ophthalmologists office. I was preparing some tools for a patient to have a metal foreign body removed from a patient's cornea. One of the tools caught the tip of my glove and I did not think twice about it at the moment. Shortly after the procedure, I thought to myself what if I punctured the glove and my skin. I closely examined my skin after removing the gloves and founding no evidence of skin puncture. I also thoroughly examined the gloves and found no evidence of a puncture.

Should I be concerned about any transmission between the instrument and myself or the instrument and the patient? I am not Hep B or C positive or HIV positive to my knowledge and there did not appear to be a break in my skin.
