Thank you for the kind words!!!! My wife and I see way too many sad folks at the centers. Many are filled with hopelessness and you see it in their eyes and feel it in your soul. We try to bring some light to others who are in pain. By the time they're done listening to us share our stories it often lightens their load. Our mission is to endure and encourage others to have hope. In fact we as tore up as we both are, would love to win the lottery and build a ranch for widows and orphans. No matter how bad any of us feels we have the gift of compassion to share. Understanding suffering in the first person makes all of you more effective wittnesses to help others. I never could understand how somebody who hasn't been there could tell me how to act in any situation. see-ya

Boy and I feel bad about all the blood work I've had!  You just reminded me not to complain until I've walked in an others shoes.

You are such a strong wonderful person - it's a pleasure having you on this board. Thank you for all your inspiration and the positive outlook you have.  It is so important for us to be positive for the new people who come in...and here is a new person that comes in witha  more positive attitude than some of us older timers (HA I'm getting to be an oldtimer how did that happen????????????).

You remind us to be the best we can be and try to be an inspiration to all.

I agree with nygirl. If you have full-screen for Hep A,B,C and they are negative, Thank God. Get another test, Our docters trust them. My wife Eva has had blood work done at least 150 times post-transplant 1/03. She got used to it as best you can, as we know they are only indicaters without bi-ops. to track what's happening. Do research on your medical folks, if they'er specialists you should then trust their input. Don't worry it will really mess u up.

what did your dr tell you? it is best to get these questions answered by your physician. It looks like nothing was positive for exposure. If you are concerned about the gastro problems, it might be time for a GI consult.

If you have not been tested since 2004 as the tests above appear to me...get tested again. It's just a blood test and it will ease your mind for ever.

To reiterate it is NOT common at all to be able to get HepC via sex.  The chances are VERY low.

The blood tests today are extremely accurate - if you dn't have the antibodies I would say OK I AM IN THE CLEAR THANK GOD.  No antibodies means no DISEASE.

Count your blessings - this disease and treatment are no fun at all and you have escaped it.

Be more careful in the future and practice safe sex and you shouldn't have to worry any longer.  You've learned a great lesson about using condoms it seems to me. An easy way out!  :)
