Why has my alt been constantly rising

Stef 2011
My alt levels over the last 5 tests are 18, 16, 17, 23, 5 months ago & now has risen to 33. My doc says it is not a problem, it is still in range there range is 10-50. Have you any suggestion as to why such a rise or is this normal. I am seeing doc on Friday. If you look up my previous post from October 2015 you will find all my details.
I did have my vitd3 level done after only a few days on vitd3 & it came back 60ng/ml. I continued every day with vit. D for a further 6/7 weeks then took roughly 3000iu/ml every 3 days, thought perhaps I may be starting to clear virus?
Thanks

Those comments that you think my results are very good have certainly pleased me. The fact I have been stable is v. good.
Seeing my hepatologist tomorrow but I am sure he will only do annual tests.
Is u/sound only good enough for 6 monthly with afp & all other bloods yearly.
Thanks for input
Good luck to you all.

Saw my doc yesterday for reassurance about testing period. He said as I am low viral load, inactive carrier with no liver damage he would only do annual tests, unless my tests in the future necessitated it. I told him I was concerned of hcc & he said given my overall results I only needed annual checks. Any advice please as to where & approx cost of necessary tests for hcc in the UK please.

in super markets  or vegetable markets .The truth is that hepa B is a slow killer .Your doc is right, but things can change in the long run , you must keep on monitoring . One black radish can be taken for one week .
Just a slide once per day.

life is slow killer too :) Mrr49 has very good results and ALT may rise for many reasons, lifting heavy weights, parasite infection for example.

Thanks will look into that & find where I can get it unless you have ideas.
Did you think my Drs comments were good.

Add black radish in your diet, ''Black radishes are an excellent source of vitamin C and also provide potassium, iron and magnesium as well as vitamins A, E and B. They are also known for their ability to fight off infection and promote healthy digestive function. The Black radish also contains raphanin which studies have shown to be beneficial in treatment of both under and overactive thyroid imbalances. Studies have shown that the leaves of the Black radish additionally have a liver detoxifying effect.'' - quotation .http://www.specialtyproduce.com/produce/Black_Radish_752.php

Don't know what you meant by ART, I think my diet is excellent. Fish, chicken organic where I can, fruit, veg, multivits, vitc vit d3 nuts, seeds etc etc. I can't do better.
I had an email from one of my consultants today & she said " I confirm I believe you will die WITH not FROM hepatitis b. She knows my test results from over 20+ yrs. I agree with you "no panic".
Thanks
God bless

No I do not drink alcohol. My Fibroscans have been 4.4, 4.9, 5.3. The levels are rising not falling. I don't know what technique they use. I am told everything is ok & my doc is not worried about me. Hbsag due in 6 months.

To Mrr49 -Do you drink alcohol ? i don't understand why your fibroscan has been increasing , though  it drops again from 28 to 23 , test again your hbsag quant .
Which technic did you use in quantifying hbsag .best is abbot architect or roche elecys when quantify in ui/ml

No not my fibroscan my globulin levels. Previous 28 & latest 23.
Avatar universal
dna und., previous 2 was 10. Hbsag quant. 5000. That was first I had done.
Alk phos. 62 & latest 57. Fibroscan 4.9 & latest 5.3. Get 28 & latest 23.
Not on any treatment ever. Doc says no problems I asked if I could develop fibrosis he said no.Eat very healthy, fruit veg nuts seeds very little dairy. Walk every day 2/3 miles. Vit.c multivitamins probiotics.
Seeing doc Friday. I thought perhaps stupidly it may be rising to start clearing virus in cells. For over 20yrs everything has been good.
My GPs has said basically the same. There level is 10-50. I am well in range.
Thanks

Please i made a mistake , this mesage was sent to Mrr49 and not to stef2011

What has been the movements of your hbsag quant ,dna ,phosphatase alkaline,GGT and fibroscan the last 2 years ? Are you on ART .if yes for how long have you been on this drug . It's true that alt sometimes goes up and down due to our nutrition ,but ,it can be a good sign , same as it can be something to take a keen look .

Not Steff but thought I would give you my situation.  I've tracked my HBV for decades and my alt has always fluctuated in between 21-34.  I know guidelines have now changed to a lower alt for normal.  I asked my Hepatologist and she said this range is normal for me by decades of monitoring and my liver is in good shape, so she said she wouldn't treat just because alt is above 19 for women. She told me if my alt goes in the 50-60, which it never has, she said then she would maybe look at it further.

She also said Asian women have lowest alt.  Alt can vary based on exercise, medication, and food.  For you, it has risen some but would track for a while, keep up on Fibroscan, and look at supplements, medication, food changes.
