HBsAb appears after some time after loosing HBsAg but it's not the rule. Yes, it's very good indicator of recovery.
ok i got you now ,
When Hafiz2003 said '' I was thinking hbsab is an indication of recovery. ''
Is she right or not .
I am asking you why
"qunatifying hbsab will be essential when hbsab positive and hbsag positive .!!! "
Why you need to quantitatively measure HBsAb when HBsAb and HBsAg?
You meant - it is an automatic procedure ?. ie when hbsAg appears , immediately this antibodies clear hbsag? .
If that's what you meant , then it's not possible with all organismes. You can developed hbsag but , the complet cure procedure by this antibodies can take even 3 years or more to clear hbsag with chronic hepatitis B .
depending on each patient's organisme .During this periode hbsag is positif . With non-chronic hepatitis , it's possible with automatic eradication ,but with chronic hepatitis, with certain organisms it takes time .
Thanks I will try and get the test done. I was thinking hbsab is an indication of recovery.
Why? HBsAb should match its specific HBsAg, so it is problematic if you have both HBsAb and HBsAg positive at the same time. This problem has been looked at before and most likely the phenomenon is due to mutated S-antigen.
I thought, qunatifying hbsab will be essential when hbsab positive and hbsag positive .!!!
To determine whether Tenofovir is working for you, you should measure your viral load (hbvdna) and ALT at your next checkup, as they are the markers of interest. Your recent serological report is essentially the same as that before treatment. HBsAb positive is not meaningful when HBsAg is still positive.
