tenofovir is more potent and is safe for no resistance development

entecavir may be have a problem of resistance because telbivudine shares resistance with lamivudine which shares resistance with entecavir.telbivudine is a very bad choice used monotherapy

Entecavir is better when it is the first treatment. However, this is not your case. For you tenefovir is better I think.

you have to make hbsag, hbvdna twice monthly.if hbsag is rising you have to go to tdf immediately, if both hbsag and hbvdna rise go for tdf imediately, if hbsag is declining you can wait and see
