Hbeab dynamics?

I have had all my family members to check hbv. Fortunately hbag of all are negative. The older kds has hbsab detected; while the younger has borderline hbsab and got an additional shot. My wife has no hbsab detected, who actually is at the greatest risk  of hbv. I have vague memiry that she had hbsab 15+ yrs ago. But unfortunately the record was not well kept at the time. She will get 3 shots.

Question: Is it possible that someone had hbsab, but lost it later and never had it again and still is immune to hbv?

Sorry. The title should be HBsAb dynamics.

--Yes, because presence of HBsAB memory does not always show in lab tests.
