Hepatitis B is a very slow moving disease for most people. Even with cirrhosis, in most patients, it can be reversed if the person responds to treatment. The key is early detection and get treatment when it is necessary.

I think you should get more tests, including liver functions and hbvdna (viral load).
Most Hepatitis B infections are transmitted vertically, from an infected mother to her children at birth.
If a Hepatitis B patient has very low hbvdna, his/her infectivity is low but not zero. I would suggest your husband and children get the Hepatitis B vaccine - they may not get infected through you but they may get it from others.

Talk to a liver doctor or get in touch with the Yellow Warriors Society.
