Hep B vaccine on newborn

My nephew was born Tuesday, October 18, 2011.  The staff accidentally gave him 2 Hep B shots within 12 hours of birth.  A few hours after the second shot, he stopped eating, started breathing fast and has fluid on his lungs and his heart rate is elevated.  He is in neonatal ICU -  could any of this be caused by the accidental double shot and are there any after affects that we will need to be concerned with later on down the line?

I appreciate you doing what you can to try to help your nephew, it's great when family pulls together and tries to sort things out. We here are a lot like family, trying to help each other along too. We look forward to hearing more about this. What is your nephews name?

What a nightmare! Did you call the drug companies on overdose procedures? You would want to make sure the hospital followed protocol. Besides medical advice you may want to seek legal counseling just for back up. You must be so upset about this. I will pray for you and that the doctors were able to manage this correctly.
