If HBsAB strong enough, not necessary for HBV.
i have yet to test my kids.
i have a 6 yr old and a 3 year old. we spoke to their doctor after i found out i had it and he assured us they are up to date with theri vaccination specially hepB. i am still gonna find out their level of antibodies since a test may show negative for hbsag but does not show any antibodies for their age
No one is officially immune to hepatitis after being vaccinated until the vaccination series is completed and a titer is done to verify immunity. Having the titer done can be just as important as having the vaccinations.
I think there are currently 7 different types of Hepatitis (A thru G) but only Hepatitis A & B have effective vaccines available. So the other types of hepatitis can still be contracted even if you have immunity to A & B.
I think immunity to HBV may provide protection from Hepatitis D (Delta Virus) because I believe the Delta Virus can only survive in someone who is already infected with HBV……not really sure on that.
