Lamivudine 150 is meant for HIV patients or patients coinfected with HBV and HIV.Only Lamivudine 100 is usually prescribed for hepatitis b patients. But whatever be the dosage its not at all safe to be treated with lam. due to its high risk of resistance associated with it.Moreover it is also very weak as compared to the newer medicines like entecavir and tenofovir. You should change your doctor and see to it that your new doctor prescribes you entecavir/tenofovir.
Lamivudine is outdated and ur virus will multiply anyway someday due to resistance to it so best is change to tenofovir and also change ur doctor who even don't know in today's time lamivudine is not used.
I've been taking it for about three weeks now.The doctor said if I stop taking it the virus will multiply. Can someone pls tell me what to do then?
So what should I do now?.Because I'm being treated with lamivudine 150mg.
No huge resistance entacavir or tenofovir should use
