Hbsag is an unpredictable marker and it never remains within a defined range.

so what do you think about this?...
what about an individual infected at birth with HBSAG+, HBEAB+, HBEAG- AND HBV DNA UNDETECTED.
what is the possibility of this person ever getting active and what are the chances of any liver issues/damage wether active or not?

Also, with these results is she SEXUALLY INFECTIOUS??
Chances of getting active from an inactive hbv in hbeag neg individuals with low viral load is less likely.
However if it happens it will only be immunocompromised situations such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, pregnancy, advanced age, tb or any other chronic debilitating disease. So live healthy and monitor hbv regularly.

HBSAG+, HBEAB+, HBEAG- AND HBV DNA UNDETECTED.
As we said previously, she is infectious as long as she is hbsag positive, the more hbv dna the more infectious. You are vaccinated for hbv, and you should be safe from contracting the disease from her.
sorry for asking again..but you say the more the hbv dna the more infectious - but her hbv dna is undetected - does that mean not infectious?

im just asking again because everyone including doctors are telling me different things..some saying she is not infectious as she has no detectable hbv dna and is hbeag- and hbeab+.
thanks for your help
I'm not a doctor or liver disease professional, but I've been told by my doctor and read by myself that a patient is infectious as long  as he/she is hbsag positive. It doesn't matter whether the hbv dna is detectable or not; but they also say that the more hbv dna the more infectivity. I hope I'm clear now.
PS: why are you so concerned about getting infected when you've been vaccinated and have protective anti-hbs?
im worried because we had sex many many many times before she revealed her hep b to me and she even lost her virginity to me (always protected but there were instances where there was unprotected contact and also unprotected oral)..when she revealed it she said she didnt need to tell me as she is an inactive carrier and she knows she isnt infectious as her hbv dna is undetected and she wasnt putting me at any risk. she never even asked if i was vaccinated. thats why i keep asking you guys..i need to know if i should kick her to another planet? (its a shame i really loved her and btw we aren't young, 23)
There are two issues here: one is about infection risk, which you now know that you've null risk because of your protective anti-hbs. The other thing is your personal relationship with your gf, and I think we've discussed this many times before. At the end of the day, it is upto you whether you want to live with her or not, we cannot decide what you may do with your relationship.

Being in Functional "control", I believe, is the same as the subgroup of inactive carriers who are at minimal risk of complications. Not bad if this treatment comes out in the near future.

how minimal is the risk for inactive carriers? they would never have complications even when old?
Not all inactive carriers. Only those who who have hbv DNA levels less than 2000iu and HbsAg titre less than 1000iu. This group has HCC risk similar to those who are uninfected.

Like I said l, if her HbsAg titre is below 1000iu, she will likely never reactivate. If it's over 1000, the chances are higher.
And is she sexually infectious with these results?
