low viremia
Hi there
I have hepatitis B with constant good values of ALT and a very low viremia (246 UI/ml). My therapist said that I should start taking BARACLUDE. What are you thinking about that? What are the risks? Hepatic markers are:
ANTI-HBE= 0.01
ANTI-HBE_I= REACTIVE
HBEAG = 0.289
HBEAG_I=NONREACTIVE
HBSAG=60.31
HBSAG_I=REACTIVE
ACHBS = 2.46
ACHBS_I = NONREACTIVE

Thank you!

In Romania they use ALT/TGP notation and my values in the last 2 years (with blood tests once at 3 months) are around 30 sometimes 16 -19 (normal limits are between 9-72). Anyway ... all the other values (ALKP, Tymol, Bilirubine, Urea, Glicemia, WBC, RBC, HCT, MCV ...etc etc) are allways normals. I feel good, I eat as healthy as posible. To baraclude or not to baraclude ... that's the question.

2007 Guideline:  normal ALT/AST, HBV-DNA<2000, just monitor.
