simply useless to go on treatment without liver damage because all drugs can only block liver damage but totally useless on hbv

now we have only a combo treatment working on hbv with sequential treatment with tenofovir and then interferon add on

liver cancer risk remains even on treatment and even when you clear hbv, it is lower with hbvdna und and little higher  with high hbvdna and high alt.
antivirals for liver cancer prevention (just lowering of risk) is suggested on hbv mutants precore/bcp and genotypes b and c

go for tenofovir 1-2 years annd then add on interferon to it for 2 years and follow how hbsag goes down, it should clear after the 2 years of interferon+tdf

if tdf doesn t make hbvdna undetactable by 8-10months add tdf+entecavir and then interferon add on after 2 years with hbvdna und

the point is rescue immune system by hbvdna fully undetactable for 1-3 years and then add interferon which boost immune response to clear hbv.if hbvdna is not fully undetactable there is no rescue of immune system and this strategy may not work
