thanx dr .will a single hbsag test be good enough after 6 months?
Hi, the incubation period (the time between initial contact with the virus and onset of the disease) for hepatitis B ranges from 45 to 180 days. So, you will need to get tested for 6 months to know about the infectivity status. However to protect yourself have yourself vaccinated against Hepatitis B and check Anti Hbs levels. If it is above 10 IU/L it is considered to be protective. Regards.
