vit d

hi
i fellow   every conversation in this forum and i remark that vit d and hep b has a relation
in my last check of blood i have a decrease of vit d  17(i forget the unit)but normally it should b over 34
i dont know it is the effect of hep b or i am not exposed enough to sun(i live in paris)so the doc give me 1 empoule of 1.000000in a moth for 3 monthes and i should stop
my question is should i take more vit d or not?

if your hbv doesn t clear probably lifelong but in any case taking vit d has only benefits, see here all the diseases you can prevent and all research on it

the doctor who had give me vd3 is  not my hepatologue is jusut an ordinary but he know that i have hep b

we all know from years that chronic infections hijack vit d pathways and hbv does so too

taking one big dose doesn t have healthy effects, you have to mimic sun exposure which is daily doses, you can start with 10.000iu daily and keep it until vitd25oh gets to 50-80ng/ml then lower to 5000iu to find maintenance dose

sun doesn t work because the d pathway is not like for healthy people

be careful to use d3 which is the natural form, some doctors prescribe the useless d2 form which is synthetic and doesn t work but it is patented so drug makers make money from it, a good example of corrupt doctors
