please do not consider pregnancy, you have a superinfection of hbv+hdv and you can infect your baby with 100% cronic hbv+hdv, please consider having a baby only when you clear hbsag
another point is the drugs they can make damage to the baby so for now just follow your doctor advice and wait to see if you can clear both viruses
i am about to start interferon entecavir combo too, do you have tests for hbsag quantity and hbeag quantity?if hbsag gets low you have chances to clear both viruses because hdv cannot live without hbsag
Dear Stefano,
I thank you for your answer. I have ADN HBV and ARN HDV - nedetectable. Ag HBe - was negative from begining and Ag Hbs is Ag HBs - 145.28 S/CO(>1 - reactive).
I will expect until the doctor tell me if ok to have a baby.
Regards,
Elena
thank you, it looks this combo is very strong hope this will help me toow hen i start it,HBs - 145.28 S/CO(>1 - reactive) is good because low (in cronic hbv is always in the thouzands) although i am more familiar with iu/ml or s/n, when you reach 10iu/ml the possibility to have negative is very high and it is also very important to monitor if it declines from base line to 24 and 48 weeks or stays about the same
i have seen a patient cleared hbv+hdv in 10 months interferon+truvada combo but truvada has more sides than etv and probably inf+entecavir is the about the same
i guess interferon is the most dangerous on the baby, usually on hbv infection vaccine prevents hbv on the baby but i have never seen studies on hbv+hdv
