but again do not be too worried i am talking at level that it really has almost no impact on the results, you are totally cured, there is nothing closer to a cure both for acute hbv or cronic than what you have got, yur hbsab antibody at 1000miu/ml will block entrance to your liver cells and there is no way for hbv to come back

just to know this is occult hbv and is very low percentage

can i get again hep b, another genotipe?
no you are immune to all types except the very rare type with hbsag immune escape variant due to the use of lamivudine or adefovir monotherapy.this variant happens naturally also on rare genotypes like E, G or F (don t remember exactly which ones), but these are so so rare, do not even consider this a possibility
and even if you do get this variant you will probably clear it since you get infected as an adult, so risk is zero

be very careful with steroids and drugs that lower immune system, that is the only danger but liver experts know these drugs

more than 1000 is out of test range and doesn t matter how much when so high

any titer above 400miu/ml is a good protection and by the years it will get lower becuase not needed so high
for those who are not infected 10miu/ml is considered protective
for those who seroocnverted hbsag negative after transplant a medium level of 250miu/ml is considered ok

occult hbv? what does it mean?

Avatar universal

don t worry about it, it is zero

the only worry you might have is occult hbv, recheck hbvdna in 6-12 months by NGI tests with 0.19iu/ml sensitivity to exclude occult hbv

nitazoxanide (alinia), looks like it lowers hbsag faster than interferon alone

is this the same story for acute hbv with person anti-HbsAg or only ex-hronic?
exactly and the same for herpes, papilloma virus, citomegalovirus and so on, we just achiveve an immune balance which keeps viruses to zero.
some people probably clear them totally but there is no way to know, but anyway health is just a balance we live with millions of bacteria and viruses and we also need them to keep immune system working

i didnt check hbvdna with ultrasensitive test, i will ask my doctor about that.

dont check, it is useless, as long as your immune system works you are like you have zero virus and no cccdna, it is just a waste of money, but if you do want there is only one test to detect so little virus and is available for research only, you might test at 0.19iu/ml sensitivity if you like but check hbsab and regular ultrasound every 6 months makes much more sense

your doc is probably not aware where to have hbvdna supersensitive

this is one of the drugs that damages immune system and reactivates hbv, suppressing immune system hbv can be fatal
the same drugs applay to those with cronic hbv

there are some others drugs that damage immune system and make hbsab undetactable, i dont remember the names or illness but i think it is one for artitis or similar and of course all immune suppressive drugs
