No I i live in rich developed country ... so iam ok thank god
If the test was done on any normal hep b testing machine...which almost certainly was the case unless you live in some highly underdeveloped country.
Negative hep b test at 12 weeks means you didn't get hep b from the incidence which happened 12 weeks ago.
Why you don't answer is my negative results @ 12 weeks for hbsag means iam ok ?
You are ok whatever becuase adult and vaccinated already (immune memory stays even if now hbsab is und once it was produced at the vaccination time), poor virus....
Iam I ok now ? For the hepatitis b @ 12 weeks for hbsag .. answer the question dont say see if you are immune or not
Test hbsab for immunity if more than 10miu ml u are immune and no need to test hbsag or hbvdna
I did it @ 12 weeks and it was negative
So most likely you are imune against hbv but to be sure do the hbsag test
I tested for hbsag @ 12 weeks and it was negative ... and btw I got vaccineed when I was born before 23 years
Because like stef said hbv and hiv are not the same they are 2 different viruses although they have similarities being part of retro viruses. So we have many members with undetected pcr but have hbsag detectable so they still have hbv infection. Does that make sense now?
Why thwn pcr for other std like hiv it can mean ur negative but for heptites b not ?
for hbv hbsag quantitative is the test to see infected cells and clearance both for chronic and acute, not a pcr.
you may not know anything about medicine and hbv, but a doctor cannot be so ignorant to order a pcr.it is really a shame he should be removed
Why thwn pcr for other std like hiv it can mean ur negative but for heptites b not ?
your doctor is not a doctor, what a shame tell him to change job before he makes damage to patients
I didnt understand what you just said but my doctor told me if you did the pcr after 9 weeks and it was undectbale it means you are negative
pcr has nothing to do with hbv infection, it is undetectable in chronic carriers also and it does not mean there is no infection and replication in the liver
the test to know if infected is hbsag and immune hbsab, hbcab (if both hbsab and hbcab infection was already cleared in the past)
adults without damaged immune system clear hbv in up to 98% cases
