PSI-7977 plus Standard Therapy Cures 100% of Genotype 2-3 Hepatitis C Patients

Pharmasset's investigational hepatitis C virus (HCV) polymerase inhibitor PSI-7977 combined with pegylated interferon/ribavirin cured 100% of people with HCV genotype 2 and 3 in the Phase 2b PROTON trial; sustained response results for hard-to-treat genotype 1 patients are expected later this year.

That may have been the case, but I was just curious what is the chance of relapsing after 12 weeks of svr

I thought that most of the these people cleared within a month.

It says they achieved an SVR 12, therefore 12 weeks after tx ended, what is the difference between that and six months? Like what is the chance of relapse after an svr12? Or are they likely in the clear43
Does anyone know?

the future sure does look promising. i am interested to see how the geno 1 patients turn out on this trial
