If you've had a blood draw recently, check your bilirubin level..If it's elevated, it can cause the itching as well...                                                      ~Melinda

Hep C can cause this. Maybe you could check with a dermatologist, if it is not something else.
Ribavirin can cause very dry skin and also rashes, so you should keep yourself well hydrated during treatment, by drinking enough water. Many say that Gold Bond medicated triple action lotion should be very helpful. The green bottle with the red cap. Why don't you try it, it might take care of the itch as it is also cooling.

Check out the health pages for some lists of what to do and not to do on treatment. It might be helpful to you. The link to the health pages is on the upper right side of this page.

I get itchy when I'm tired. I have been this way for most of my life...don't know if it's from HCV but I am now in my 3rd week of tx and it hasn't gotten any worse. I don't have the riba rash yet eventhough I spend a good amount of time in the afternoon sun.

Everyone is different, I have olive skin and tolerate the sun well. If you are fair skinned you may have more issues.
