1b All clear 9 months post tx

Just got lastest blood work.  Waited until 9 months since it didn't amtter either way I wasn't going to do any more tx until another wonder drug came along.  Alt and Ast right in the middle, no Hep C detected <50 and <1.76.  Everything is normal.  Was 1b, over 5,000,000 load, 30+ years, no symptoms, stage 3, grade 3.  I am 220 lbs and 53 year old male.  Did pegasys and 1200 copegus,  Didn't miss a dose and drank enough water to bring Lake Mead back to full.  Alt and Ast was always above normal until after tx.  Feeling great.  I don't know what the future holds but I think I have a chance that something other than Hep C will be my ticket out of the game.  Good luck too all.

That's great news for you!  It makes me feel much more optimistic about my 3 month post tx test next week.  I am also a 1b and I just love hearing that another 1b has had a successful outcome (well, I love hearing when ANYONE with this disease has a successful outcome, actually!)  Thanks for sharing.

I am so happy for you ... also touched & encouraged by your post.  Those of us who are beginning treatment really like to see people getting well and moving on to the next chapter of their life.  It's a lovely projection from the starting point.

Just wondering why your dr thought you may have AIH?  Do you have any symptoms that are showing up. I do remember you talking about the rash...butterfly.  My hubby is feeling so good now that he is off meds but has had a rash that comes and goes.  Red down the nose and cheeks bright red.  It clears and then if he is outside and gets hot,,,it starts breaking out again. Does this sound like same kind of rash you are dealing with. I hope you and your family are doing good these days..
