3 month post- still clear

Hi,
i just got the labs. at the 3 month post tx mark, UNDETECTABLE! in fact all the #'s are in range. AST, ALT = 21 , 15 . i'm so happy! just curious does anyone know the odds od SVR if clear at 3 mon. post?
my stats: 53 yo male, geno 1, infected since 70's ? tx twice with 5 month gap between tx , 180 mg Pegasys, took 1600 mg Riba for about half tx then 1400 for the remainder, approx. i had extra from the 1st tx. i was prescribed 1200, i never even told my Dr. i was taking more.taking Lexapro 20 mg. no major side fx either tx. excersized the whole time, no work missed because of tx. in fact got a better job and advanced my career. so greatful to be clear!

WOW!!!  Talk about a list of accomplishments...are your feet touching the earth? lol  Mine would not be! Congratulations on such wonderful news!!  I am JUST waiting to hear about my 3 month Viral Load and praaaaaaaaaying I am undetectable...this is my second time around...did the old interferon back in 92...was taken off after 7 months as non responsive.  This time I am a slow responder but had my 2 log drop so I have my fingers and toes crossed.  Soooo good to read such great successes..thank you for sharing!

Huge congratulations! Sound like you're one of the folks who didn't have much trouble with sides, but still, treating twice can't be a whole lot of fun.

For what it's worth, I don't think some previous posters have the numbers correct. Even if you're clear after six months you have a roughly 95% of SVR. Relapse is not common but it does occur. I don't know if this statistic distinguishes between people with different levels of scarring. It makes sense that folks with more advanced liver disease would have higher relapse rates. So in other words, three month SVR is not 99% in the clear, but it is pretty damn good. Congratulations again. I think you can breathe a big sigh of relief.

With an AST of 21 and an ALT of 15 at UND 3 months post, you sure look cured to me! Enjoy!

From the top of my head I think UND 3 months post means a 99% chance of being SVR for ever! Probably 100% if you do not have cirrhosis.

Congratulations!
